When we first got started installing high-end audio video equipment in Orange County homes more than 30 years ago, the trend was for homeowners to want to “show off” their systems. Large speaker systems were out in the open. Huge televisions were the focal points of rooms. There was no (or very little) attempt to integrate technology into the overall design of the home, at least for those homeowners for whom the best audio video equipment was a top priority.
