As a veteran AV company serving Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Dana Point we often work in high-end, ocean-front residences that are quite spectacular. This Dana Point residence is no exception. The home has a contemporary style; with incredible fit and finish that only true craftsmen can achieve. We outfitted the entire home with a distributed audio system, HVAC control, lighting system control and much more.
It’s a 3-level home with the lowest level being subterranean. The bottom floor includes a custom garage with a swimming pool featuring an underwater viewing window. The lowest level also features a sports memorabilia display, automobile showcase, sports bar, media room and gym. The lower level is controlled via a Crestron TPS-12L in-wall touchpanel. From there the homeowners can send music to any of the rooms, control the temperature and lighting. Additionally, each room that has a display has local control via a Crestron MLX-3 wireless remote control.
The main level features a custom entry with a glass bridge over a Koi pond. The middle level also includes a two story atrium with custom aquariums. The main rooms on this floor include the dedicated home theater, family room, dining room, kitchen and guest room. The west side of the residence faces the ocean and includes and a pool, yard and BBQ area. Each room is controlled using a Crestron MLX-3 that provides for video source selection, audio control, HVAC control and management of motorized shades and windows. This floor also includes a dedicated 12” in-wall touchpanel that provides control of the pool and spa, residence lighting and the home’s security system.
The uppermost level houses several rooms including the master suite, the exercise room and the office. Lastly, there are three additional bedrooms upstairs. Each room has a video display and MLX-3 remote for source selection and audio control. The upper level also includes a Crestron TPS-12L touchpanel for house wide control of audio sources and destinations, climate control and security system.
Good Sounds delivered a complete audio visual system with integrated entertainment and lifestyle control that made this luxury home even more enjoyable. When the project was completed the homeowners were so happy with their new system that they asked us to outfit their customer residence on the 47th floor of the Ritz Carlton at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles.
